10 Image Bookmarking Sites for Visual Inspiration
Looking at images for visual inspiration can spark your creativity and give you ideas on ways to approach your own designs. Image bookmarking sites — which collect and present images from various places around the Web — are excellent places for creatives searching for visual inspiration. Here are a few image bookmarking sites to check out.
1. Image Spark
Image Spark allows its users to upload and collect images. Their Community section features popular images and moodboards bookmarked and created by members of the service.
2. Dropular
Dropular is a niche micro-blogging service that allows its users to save and collect images. Their Interesting section features popular images saved by their users, arranged in a visually stimulating image gallery layout.
3. FFFFOUND!
This web service is one of the most popular image bookmarking sites out there. FFFFOUND! frequently features great design, photography, art, and illustration work.
4. yay!everyday
Though the site owners say that they’re "not an image bookmarking site," it’s because the work that is featured on yay!everyday puts an emphasize on attributing the artist behind the image, which is seldom seen in other image bookmarking sites.
5. Forrst
Forrst is a social site for both designers and developers. Members can post beautiful screenshots (as well as code and links), which can inspire viewers of the site.
6. we heart it
This image bookmarking service allows you to create albums (which are called "hearts"). The "Top tags" sidebar widget is a great way to quickly discover images tagged by particular words and topics of interest.
7. Dribbble
Dribbble is a socially-powered website that allows its members to post previews of their design work. It’s an invite-only website, but anyone can view the posted images.
8. VisualizeUs
This web service is one of the more popular image bookmarking community sites. Its Popular section displays top bookmarked images by its users, which are often artistic in nature.
9. but does it float
This site, managed by Folkert and Atley, features inspiring images in categories such as typography, architecture, collage and drawing.
10. Buamai
Buamai is an image bookmarking site that’s curated by a group of artists, graphic designers, programmers, architects and fashion designers from all over the world.

ZooTool is my favorite! It does a lot of other stuff too but it’s great for grabbing images from the web.

eyesoak.com – pretty new, but it aggregates several image bookmarking services into 1 place. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the timing – it updates so very often that it’s almost impossible to keep up with it. Anyway, I try to visit it from time to time, but my all time favorites are still yay and ffffound. :)

No Designspiration? No Zootool? No Pineterest? Also, i think Forrst, and Dribble don’t belong here. Not really image bookmarking sites. More like “Here’s what i made. Now stroke my ego.” Puke.
