About PowerMockup
PowerMockup is an add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint that helps you sketch mockups of websites and applications; it provides a rich set of user interface elements (buttons, text boxes, navigation bars, etc.) that make prototyping new designs a matter of a few clicks.
All design elements are based on regular PowerPoint shapes that can even be viewed and edited even when PowerMockup is not installed.
The major advantage of using PowerPoint as a mockup tool is its ubiquity: almost everyone has it and knows how to use it. It provides a common design environment that bridges the gap between business users and developers.
Some Features
- 89 fully editable user interface elements
- 104 wireframe icons
- Instant search feature for quickly finding the right stencil
- Ability to add/import custom stencils and categories
- Compatible with PowerPoint 2007 and 2010
PowerMockup is developed by Wulfsoft, a software company located in Münster, Germany. In addition to PowerMockup, the company also offers visitor.js (a JavaScript solution that provides real-time information on website visitors), DataVoila (a scripting tool for data editing tasks) and Dr. Link Check (a free web-based link checker).

How would you use PowerMockup?
It would use it to sketch mockups of websites and applications and send the prototype of new designs to clients for layout selection.

I would use PowerMockup in several ways. Initially I would let it replace the pen and pencil when I’m in the brainstorming phase of designing a site. I’ve used powerpoint before in this phase but I always felt that it lacked a lot of the designing tools that I needed. Secondly I would definitely use it in the first few meetings with potential clients when you are trying to show them what their ideas look like. It is would be far more professional than showing them some simple drawings or basic wireframes.

I will use it to mockup my web design and wp template
this tool will make co-creation with client(s) easier, because: its easy to put mockup on power point and present it to clients and make changes to mockup on the fly and maybe put some fancy animation.

We develop training materials for a variety of subjects. We are trying to pull away from the “death by power point” methodology. This tool would be a great addition to our company.
Thanks

This looks extremely easy to use, and would serve me very well as a intermediary step between wireframing and high-fidelity design. Since it’s already in PowerPoint, it is a presentation in itself, so no extra work to export images out of a different tool and into PowerPoint. Perfect for making small tweaks to the mockup during the presentation for instant gratification and feedback from the client. Very exciting stuff!
Not sure if this is a current feature, but being able to export this as a layered PSD would be nice, so that it could easily be turned into a full design without reworking the entire mockup.

Having a tool like PowerMockup in my arsenal would not only make prototyping mockups easier but would make the presentation of the mockups much more sublime. PDF conversion would no longer be a notch in my checklist.

I would use PowerMockup to communicate design intent to my team when Photoshop takes too much time to work with. A quick mockup tool is a great tool in the tool chain, and I’m missing one. My first use of the tool would be to create mockups for https://github.com/haf/Documently which is my sample application for CQRS applications – it could benefit from something more graphical than code.

I’m very interested in UI but only recently discovered it. As someone who is trying to learn more about it and play around with it, I think this would be a great introductory tool. My design skills are also beginner so being able to use PowerPoint (something I’m familiar with) would be amazing. Please pick me, I’d love to give PowerMockup a try! #neverstoplearning

Are they giving you to “what do you mean” look? :-) well, i hope i can show them straight away what i see and mean through PowerMockup… Makes the process more efficient and especially more fun, for both me and the customer… Power!

Currently, I’m using good ole pencil and paper to do all of my wireframes and mockups. Having a application like PowerMockup would make completing mockups and wireframes 10x more easier. I’ve tried other wireframing apps for PCs and iPads but have yet to come across that one. I’d love to give PowerMockup a try.

I would use PowerMockup in my university final project which involves testing a prototype on users, then iterating and improving it based on the feedback they provide and testing the new improved prototype (repeat till candidates are satisfied). It would save me and arm and a leg in time as well otherwise I’m going to have to manually create each mockup iteration in full html/css which is time consuming when only the final product needs it. In the long term I aspire to be a front end developer/designer so PowerMockup will also help there as well! :)

Always doing mock-ups in one program and wrote briefs in another. Sometimes I also had to show the right colors and my current tools do only black and white models. With this tool I could do the same thing in one program and save half of the time
